Another best journey of a lifetime besides MMI's annual aliya to God's backyard, the Holy Land, Israel, is learning the biblical language of the Tanakh or Old Testament. Being able to read the Bible in Hebrew? -that's something! Every year, MMI begins a new READ HEBREW class, and we invite you to join us. Perhaps you have thought about or considered learning Hebrew, but you have questions. Let Me Answer Some of the Questions People Ask:
? Can I Afford it ?
The cost of the class is $150.00, for a lifetime! You will receive two text books, other materials mailed to you during the semester, video recordings of all classes, and a lifetime of Hebrew learning with MMI. After we conclude with the Hebrew Primer, we continue by reading the biblical scrolls of Ruth, Chaggai, Zecharyah, Esther. Presently our advance class is reading, B'reshit (Genesis). We are hopeful that you will come to love our ministry and be led by our Lord Yeshua to see the impact Messianic Ministry to Israel has had and is having in Israel, and that you will continue to support MMI, a 501(c)3 non-profit ministry.
? Does it Work ?
Will I be able to read Hebrew? For certain! You will be able to read select portions of the Holy Scriptures after a few months, and the entire Bible after one-year. You will be reading kindergarten Hebrew after three lessons! See We Love Our Reviews above? Everyone listed was and some still are a Hebrew student. ? Where are READ HEBREW Classes Held ?
Our classes will be online using ZOOM, an internet communications platform. MMI will send you the link and all you need to do is click on the link and you will enter MMI's Zoom portal. It's simple. There is no cost for the Zoom app. You will have control of both your audio and video so you can be seen or unseen and mute or heard.
? When and What Time are READ HEBREW classes held ?
Classes will begin this spring 2026 at 6:00 or 7:00 PM (date and time to be announced). This will hopefully give you time to arrive home from work or school, have dinner with your family, and then find that secluded study place where you can join us online for one hour.
? What Curriculum Does MMI Use ?
MMI uses a primer which was created and published for the Jewish Federation of America in an attempt to get Jewish people in the USA to learn the language of their homeland, Israel. MMI discovered the primer some years ago; we think it is the very best primer because It works! The textbook we use is Messiah Yeshua in the Hebrew AlephBeit, an introduction to Hebrew by Dr. Reginald K. Lisemby, the Executive Servant of Messianic Ministry to Israel. Once you register for the class, MMI will mail you the class syllabus, the two textbooks, MP3 files to download, and MMI's ZOOM link. You will not need an app to participate. Again, there is no cost for ZOOM to our students.
? When I Finish the Hebrew Primer, What Then ?
Following the completion of the 58 Lesson Hebrew Primer, the READ HEBREW graduating class receives diplomas, and then continues on to our READ BIBLICAL HEBREW class, reading and studying a select OT biblical book, in Hebrew! At present, we are reading and studying B'reshit or Genesis.
? What Age Group Can Participate and Actually Learn Hebrew ?
Abigail C. was 11 years old and enrolled in READ HEBREW. Mr. Bennett, Ms. Esther and Ms. Aubrie (a family) were preteens and finished the READ HEBREW course and then enrolled in READ BIBLICAL HEBREW. Mr. Barry R. and Ms. Jane S. are seventy something, while Harold E. is in his late eighties. Other students in their 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's have taken the course. From age 11 to 80 something, we meet, and yes, of course, our READ HEBREW course works! Messianic Ministry to Israel would not be offering this class if it was not authentic.
